Description: Dr. Sethuraman, a renowned scientist and watchmaker, lives with his wife Priya and their newborn son, Manikandan, in a mansion with a laboratory at Megamalai. On his birthday in January 1990, he invents a watch that allows a person to travel back and forth in time up to 24 hours. His evil twin brother, Athreya, attempts to steal the watch, leading to Priya’s death. Sethuraman escapes with his son and boards a train. Before Athreya catches up, Sethuraman hands Mani to a passenger named Sathyabama, pleading with her to protect his son. Athreya kills Sethuraman but is severely injured during the struggle. Despite her father’s objections, Sathyabama takes Mani to Chennai, honoring her promise to Sethuraman.
Twenty-six years later, Mani becomes a watchmaker, believing Sathyabama is his birth mother. Meanwhile, Athreya awakens from a coma, now paralyzed, and is determined to find the watch to return to 1990 and prevent his accident. Through a series of events, Mani discovers Sethuraman’s watch and begins exploring its powers. Using its abilities, he impresses Sathya, a client from Sathyabama’s hometown, Gopalasamudram. Athreya’s accomplice, Mithran, offers a reward of five crore rupees (50 million rupees) for the watch. Many, including Mani, create replicas, but Athreya identifies Mani’s accurate design, severs his arm, and kills him to take the watch.
Shocked to learn the watch only allows 24-hour time travel, Athreya decides to revive Mani. Mithran places the watch on Mani’s right hand and leaves. The next morning, Mani wakes up confused, as he had worn the watch on his left hand. Using the watch, he travels back to the previous night and secretly follows Mithran. However, Athreya anticipates this and tricks Mani with Mithran’s help, claiming to be Sethuraman, who survived as a paraplegic. Mani later learns from Sathyabama that Sethuraman had left him on the train before confronting Athreya in another compartment.
