Both actors shine individually and together, with Viswanathan’s sharp, relaxed comedic timing perfectly contrasting Soni’s intense demeanor. Rita effortlessly shuts down Ravi’s attempts to impose authority or justify marriage during moments of vulnerability. “You don’t need to be married to cuddle with someone,” she quips, winning the audience’s affection with her candidness.
Soni, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sethi, delivers a standout performance. His portrayal of Ravi is funny, gentle, and endearing, as he balances self-deprecating humor about his neuroses with a genuine openness to new perspectives. His evolution is subtly depicted, such as when he adopts Rita’s casual attire—a metaphor for his gradual shift toward her way of thinking.
