**Storyline:**
Batu and his wife, Tana, lead a simple life, working hard to make ends meet. However, their lives take a drastic turn when Tana becomes the target of a gangster named Ka Fang after a car accident. Determined to save his kidnapped wife, Batu teams up with detective Somchai and his friend Lao Jiao, embarking on a relentless pursuit.
Set in Thailand, the film follows Batu, played by Wu Yue, a retired Sanda champion turned seafood seller. When his wife, portrayed by Dong Xuan, is abducted by a human trafficking ring, Batu transforms into an “angry scalper.” With the help of two friends, he bravely infiltrates the criminal group to rescue her.
As a remake, the plot offers little novelty, but its highlight lies in the martial arts choreography. However, the film struggles to surpass its predecessor due to a lack of equally matched opponents. Wu Yue’s character faces off against Ma Dongxi, an American-Korean fighter with a towering physique, which diminishes the visual impact of the battles.
Despite its shortcomings, *Angry Scalper* features a compelling villain whose menacing and unsettling portrayal leaves a lasting impression. Played by Gu Bin, a Hong Kong actor who gained recognition in Taiwan, the antagonist brings a frenzied intensity to the screen.
