Description: The 1990 action film *Another 48 Hrs.* follows San Francisco police inspector Jack Cates, who has been pursuing a drug lord known as the “Iceman” for four years. During a confrontation at Hunter’s Point Raceway, Jack kills Arthur Brock in self-defense while Tyrone Burroughs escapes. However, Jack faces a potential manslaughter charge as Brock’s gun is missing from the scene. Internal Affairs’ Blake Wilson is determined to prosecute him. Jack discovers a photo indicating the Iceman has put a bounty on Reggie Hammond, who is about to be released from prison.

Reggie, who claims innocence for the payroll robbery he was imprisoned for, agrees to help Jack if he receives the $500,000 Jack has been holding for him. When Jack refuses, their partnership begins reluctantly. After an attack on Reggie’s transport bus leaves Jack injured, he forces Reggie to assist him.

Reggie identifies one of the attackers as Richard “Cherry” Ganz, the brother of Albert Ganz, a convict Jack killed years earlier. Cherry and his partner, Willie Hickok, are hitmen hired to eliminate Reggie. Meanwhile, Burroughs, working for the Iceman, is killed by Hickok after revealing his association with the drug lord.

The climax unfolds at a nightclub where Reggie is captured by Cherry and Hickok. Jack confronts them and uncovers that his friend and fellow officer, Ben Kehoe, is the Iceman, with another detective, Frank Cruise, as his accomplice.

The film is an intense blend of action and suspense, showcasing the ongoing partnership between Jack and Reggie as they navigate danger and betrayal.
