Description: “Beauty and the Beast,” released in 1991, is a timeless animated classic. The story begins with a selfish prince who rudely denies shelter to a beggar woman during a storm. She reveals herself as an enchantress and transforms him into a beast as punishment for his arrogance. His servants also become household objects. The enchantress places a spell on a rose, warning the prince that he must learn to love another and earn their love in return before the last petal falls, or he will remain a beast forever.

Years later, Belle, a kind and book-loving young woman from a nearby village, dreams of adventure. She avoids the advances of Gaston, a vain hunter who desires to marry her solely for her beauty. When Belle’s father, Maurice, ends up lost in the forest, he seeks refuge in the Beast’s castle but is imprisoned for trespassing. Belle discovers her father’s captivity and offers to take his place as the Beast’s prisoner.

In the castle, Belle befriends the enchanted servants, including Lumière the candelabra, Cogsworth the clock, Mrs. Potts the teapot, and her son Chip the teacup. While exploring the castle, she stumbles upon the enchanted rose in a forbidden wing, angering the Beast. After fleeing, Belle is attacked by wolves, but the Beast rescues her and is injured. As Belle tends to his wounds, they begin to bond and slowly develop feelings for each other.

Meanwhile, Maurice returns to the village, but his attempts to convince others of Belle’s plight are unsuccessful. The story unfolds as Belle and the Beast’s relationship deepens, raising the question of whether true love can break the curse before it’s too late.
