Description: “Bokul Ful,” a short film featuring renowned actors Mosharraf Karim and Tasnuva Haydar in leading roles, is scheduled to premiere on Chorki at 8 PM on December 2. This marks Shoraf Ahmed’s debut as a director in the OTT space. The narrative centers around Moynal, who experiences a sudden realization while preparing to commit a robbery. He comes to understand that robbers, just like ordinary people, are bound by emotions—they too feel joy, anger, and pain.
Shoraf Ahmed describes “Bokul Ful” as a tale of suffering, love, and affection. He expressed his hope that the audience will appreciate their effort. The film also includes notable performances by Hindol Roy, Masud Harun, Sheikh Merajul Islam, Hedayet Nannu, Tuhin Chowdhury, and Shertaz Jebin in significant roles.
Earlier in 2021, the Indian High Commission in Dhaka shared 38 documentary films with Chorki. Initially, the platform was set to launch on June 3, 2021, but the date was postponed to July. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the official launch ceremony took place online on July 12, 2021, with the motto “Film, Fun, Foorti.” The event saw the participation of stars like Jaya Ahsan.
Chorki is now accessible on various platforms, including Android, iOS, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Samsung Smart TV. It primarily focuses on Bangla language content but also features Turkish and Iranian films with Bangla subtitles. The platform offers both premium and free content, requiring a subscription for access to premium material. It provides a diverse range of video content, including movies, TV series, documentaries, TV dramas, music videos, and original productions. Chorki began its journey with over 200 titles in its library.
