Description: “Dabangg” is a 2010 Bollywood film set in Laalgunj, Uttar Pradesh. The story follows Chulbul Pandey, a young man who lives with his mother, Naina Devi, his stepfather Prajapati Pandey, and his younger half-brother, Makkhichand “Makkhi” Pandey. Chulbul shares a strained relationship with Prajapati and Makkhi. Years later, Chulbul becomes a police officer, adopting the nickname “Robin Hood” Pandey. He continues to live with his family while upholding justice.
Makkhi falls in love with Nirmala, but her father opposes their relationship. Meanwhile, Chulbul encounters and falls for a girl named Rajjo during a police chase. Things take a turn when Chulbul clashes with a corrupt politician named Chedi Singh, who becomes his nemesis.
Makkhi seeks Prajapati’s help to arrange his marriage with Nirmala, but Prajapati refuses due to financial struggles. In desperation, Makkhi steals money from Chulbul to convince Nirmala’s father to approve the wedding. Chulbul, meanwhile, proposes to Rajjo, but she declines, citing her responsibility to care for her alcoholic father, Hariya.
Tragedy strikes when Naina Devi passes away, leaving Chulbul shattered. He attempts to reconcile with Prajapati, but is met with rejection. Makkhi invites Chulbul to his wedding with Nirmala, but when Chulbul discovers Makkhi stole his money to fund the event, he marries Rajjo in an impromptu ceremony. This act humiliates Nirmala’s father, who cancels Makkhi’s wedding.
Makkhi’s temper leads him to assault a factory worker, prompting Chulbul to publicly shame him. Chedi Singh exploits the situation, taking Makkhi and Prajapati to the police station. The story weaves family drama, romance, and action as Chulbul navigates personal and professional challenges.
