Kizie Basu, a twenty-year-old battling thyroid cancer, meets Immanuel “Manny” Rajkumar Junior, who has overcome osteosarcoma and is now in remission. Manny, along with his friend Jagdish “JP” Pandey, who suffers from glaucoma and is blind in one eye, is working on a film project inspired by the legendary Tamil actor Rajinikanth. Manny invites Kizie to join as the female lead.
As they collaborate, Kizie and Manny bond over their shared passions—his love for Rajinikanth’s movies and her admiration for Hindi music, particularly an incomplete song by retired songwriter Abhimanyu Veer Singh. Their connection deepens, and they fall in love while filming. They adopt the Tamil word “Seri,” meaning “okay,” as their secret mantra to remind themselves to stay positive and hopeful.
JP’s condition worsens, leaving him completely blind. Meanwhile, Manny discovers Abhimanyu Veer’s whereabouts in Paris and arranges a trip for Kizie to meet him. Despite Kizie’s worsening health, they convince her parents to allow the journey, with her mother accompanying them. During preparations, Kizie’s cancer relapses, leading to hospitalization.
After recovering, Kizie and Manny reconnect and proceed with their Paris trip. However, Abhimanyu Veer’s responses leave Kizie disheartened. Shortly after, Manny reveals that his cancer has returned, and he is now terminally ill.
The film beautifully captures their emotional journey, highlighting themes of love, resilience, and the fragility of life.
