**Plot Summary:**
Josh and Renai Lambert, along with their sons Dalton and Foster and their infant daughter Cali, move into a new house. Shortly after, Dalton mysteriously falls into a coma. Despite three months of medical treatment, there is no improvement, so the family decides to bring Dalton home. Soon, they encounter a series of terrifying paranormal events. Renai hears unsettling voices over the baby monitor, Foster reports Dalton sleepwalking, and Renai witnesses a terrifying figure in Cali’s room. After Renai is attacked by this entity, the family moves out, convinced their house is haunted.
However, the supernatural disturbances persist in their new home. Josh’s mother, Lorraine, arrives and is horrified to see a red-faced demon lurking behind Josh. She contacts Elise Rainier, a psychic, along with her paranormal investigators, Specs and Tucker. During their visit, Elise confirms the presence of the same red-faced demon in Dalton’s room.
Elise reveals that Dalton is not actually in a coma. Born with the ability to astral travel, he had been unknowingly doing so in his sleep, venturing too far into a purgatory-like dimension called “The Further.” This realm is filled with tormented souls, and without his mental presence, Dalton’s body becomes a target for spirits seeking to enter the physical world.
To rescue Dalton, Elise performs a seance to communicate with him. The demon attempts to possess Dalton’s body and attacks the group but is thwarted by Elise. She shares her long-standing connection with Lorraine and discloses that Josh also possesses the ability to astral project, though he repressed the memory years ago. Elise had previously helped Josh fend off an evil spirit when he was a child. The only way to save Dalton is for Josh to enter The Further and bring him back to safety.
