Description: “Intrusion” is a 2021 Netflix thriller that focuses more on the troubles within a marriage than on a typical home invasion storyline. Starring Freida Pinto and Logan Marshall-Green as Meera and Henry, the film follows a couple who have just built a modern home in New Mexico. After returning from a date night, they find their house ransacked. While Henry fixes the damage, Meera resumes her job as a youth counselor. However, another, more violent home invasion occurs, revealing a hidden gun and resulting in fatalities. This marks the point where the movie begins to falter, relying on awkward camera angles and choppy editing to obscure crucial moments.

The plot introduces several mysteries—who were the intruders from the trailer park, and what did they want? Why was Henry hiding a gun? There’s also a subplot involving a missing girl. Unfortunately, these elements are handled clumsily, with the film leaning on shallow class biases rather than building genuine suspense. The story peaks early, around the 20-minute mark, and loses momentum, failing to deliver satisfying answers or engaging thrills.
