Description: Indra (Jeet) and Rajib (Anshuman) are close friends studying at the same college. When Indra visits Rajib in the city, he is immediately drawn to Rajib’s sister, Anuradha (Srabanti Chatterjee). Indra accompanies Rajib to his village, where Anuradha, having returned from Singapore, becomes impressed by Indra’s charm and personality. He wins over her family, convincing them he would be a suitable match for her.
Anuradha’s family, including her brother and cousin, are involved in local gangs. During a visit to the temple with Indra, Anuradha is ambushed by Nikhil, the brother of a rival gang leader, Rudra, who threatens her life. Indra bravely intervenes and defeats Nikhil, saving Anuradha.
Later, Anuradha’s brother explains to Indra the violent nature of their village. Despite their academic achievements—he holds a master’s degree from a prestigious university, and his wife is a mathematics graduate—rivalries often turn deadly. He expresses his commitment to maintaining high moral standards despite the chaos.
However, the rival gang escalates their attacks, and in a brutal confrontation, Rudra murders Rajib’s entire family, sparing only Anuradha. Indra vows to protect Anuradha and marry her, becoming Rudra’s enemy after killing Nikhil in her defense.
The story concludes with Indra and Anuradha returning to Kolkata for his sister’s wedding, showcasing the joyous traditions of the ceremony.
