Genre: Comedy;Drama;Romance
Description: Juno, a 16-year-old high school student from Minnesota, finds out she is pregnant by her close friend and admirer, Paulie Bleeker. Initially, she considers having an abortion. After visiting a local clinic and encountering a protesting classmate outside, Juno decides against it and opts for adoption instead. With the help of her friend Leah, she finds a couple, Mark and Vanessa Loring, through a newspaper ad who seem like suitable adoptive parents. Supported by her father Mac and stepmother Bren, Juno meets the couple and agrees to a closed adoption.
As time passes, Juno spends time with Mark, bonding over their shared interests in punk rock and horror films. She also begins to observe Vanessa’s natural ease with children, encouraging her to interact with the baby in her womb. Meanwhile, Juno wrestles with her feelings for Paulie, who is clearly in love with her. Despite her attempts to remain distant, she becomes upset when she learns he has asked another girl to the prom.
As her due date approaches, Juno’s relationship with Mark becomes more emotionally charged when he reveals his decision to leave Vanessa to figure out his life. Throughout the story, Juno navigates the complexities of her situation, her emotions, and the relationships around her.
