Description: Prabhakaran (Adhi) is a carefree young man from Pondicherry whose sole dream is to relocate to France. He travels to Karaikal to make this happen but unexpectedly falls in love with Deepa (Anagha), a hockey player. Through her, he meets Shanmugam (Harish Uthaman), a compassionate retired military officer who coaches the local hockey team.
A corporate entity is attempting to seize the ground where Shanmugam’s team practices, with the help of a local politician, Harichandran (Karu Pazhaniappan). Shanmugam discovers through an RTI application that the company plans to build a factory on the land, which would pollute nearby rivers and harm the local villagers. To protect the ground, Shanmugam’s students must win a match against the Pondicherry hockey team.
While assembling his team, Shanmugam learns that Prabha was once the captain of the 2012 Junior World Cup Indian hockey team but was banned for three years. Shanmugam asks Prabha to join their team, but he refuses, revealing his troubled past.
Prabha and his childhood friend Azhar (Guhan Prakash) were both hockey players. Prabha became an attacker in the national team and eventually the captain, while Azhar was rejected. Humiliated and ridiculed by their coach (Elango Kumaravel), Azhar tragically takes his own life. In the aftermath, one of Prabha’s friends (RJ Vigneshkanth) loses his leg trying to save Azhar. Overcome with anger, Prabha attacks the coach, resulting in his three-year ban.
