If it doesn’t scare you, you’re already dead!|Oct. 04, 1968|USA|96 Min.|Not Rated
Genre: Horror;Thriller
Description: “Night of the Living Dead” (1968) tells the story of siblings Barbra and Johnny as they visit their father’s grave in rural Pennsylvania. Their trip takes a horrifying turn when a strange, unsettling man attacks them, killing Johnny and forcing Barbra to flee. She seeks refuge in a nearby farmhouse, only to discover the homeowner’s mutilated body. As eerie figures gather outside, a man named Ben arrives, fortifies the house, and fends off the ghouls using a rifle and fire, which they fear.

Inside the farmhouse, Barbra, in shock, encounters Harry Cooper, his wife Helen, and their daughter Karen, who are hiding in the cellar after a similar encounter with the monsters. Tom and his girlfriend Judy join them after hearing emergency broadcasts about widespread carnage. Despite Ben’s efforts to secure the house, tensions rise as Harry insists the cellar is safer. Meanwhile, the ghouls continue to multiply, surrounding the house.

Through radio and TV reports, they learn that the east coast is plagued by reanimated, cannibalistic corpses. The authorities advise that destroying the ghouls’ heads or burning them can stop them. Scientists speculate the phenomenon is linked to radiation from a space probe that exploded in Earth’s atmosphere after returning from Venus. As the survivors struggle to stay alive, the ever-growing horde of ghouls threatens to overwhelm them.
