Description: Jack Foley, a career bank robber, and Karen Sisco, a U.S. Marshal, find themselves sharing a car trunk during his daring escape from a Florida prison. After successfully fleeing, Foley becomes the target of Sisco’s relentless pursuit. Alongside his loyal associate Buddy and the unreliable Glenn, Foley heads north to Bloomfield Hills, a wealthy Detroit suburb. Their goal is to visit Ripley, a shady businessman who once boasted about a hidden stash of uncut diamonds in his home during their time in prison.

While planning the heist, Foley returns to his apartment, where Sisco soon arrives with her gun drawn. As she cautiously approaches the bathroom, she finds Foley relaxed in the bathtub, who then playfully disarms her. Their encounter takes a romantic turn, only for Sisco to wake up and realize it was just a dream.

Meanwhile, Glenn divulges the diamond plot to Maurice Miller, a ruthless criminal with whom Jack and Ripley had served time. Maurice assembles his own crew, including Kenneth and White Boy Bob, to carry out the robbery. Despite initial tensions, Maurice and Foley agree to collaborate and share the loot. Glenn, however, backs out after being forced to participate in a violent act.

Before the heist, Foley and Sisco share a passionate moment in a Detroit hotel, blurring the lines between her duty to arrest him and her growing affection. The tension peaks during the robbery at Ripley’s mansion, where chaos ensues. White Boy Bob tragically dies after accidentally shooting himself, while Foley kills Kenneth to protect Ripley’s housekeeper, Midge, from assault. Sisco intervenes, shooting Maurice and ultimately arresting Foley, who pleads with her to end his life. Buddy, however, escapes with a portion of the diamonds.
