**Storyline:**
Arjun, as a child, enjoys the attention of his parents and neighbors. Living in a colony with no kids his age, he dreams of having a girlfriend. When Anupama, or “Anu,” and her family move in, Arjun’s family quickly grows fond of her, sparking jealousy in him. Over time, his jealousy turns into hatred, while Anu develops feelings for him.
Arjun struggles academically and is often compared to Anu, who excels in her studies, frustrating him. To escape the constant comparison, Arjun plans to move to Dubai, where his sister lives, under the pretense of pursuing an MBA. With the help of a friend who owns a consultancy, Arjun cheats his way to an excellent GMAT score. His father celebrates his achievement with a party, and Arjun feels relieved to finally get away from Anu. However, he learns his application is on the waitlist for his top-choice university due to being one mark short. To his dismay, he discovers that one of the two higher-scoring applicants is Anu.
In frustration, Arjun reveals Anu’s study plans to her mother, who opposes her further education and pushes her toward marriage. A heated argument ensues, and Anu, heartbroken, agrees to marry. On her wedding day, Anu shocks everyone by publicly kissing Arjun. Under family pressure, Arjun marries her. On their first night together, Anu confesses she overheard Arjun’s plan to sabotage her studies and reveals the marriage as her revenge. She insists Arjun take her to Dubai with him to the university. Arjun manipulates the other applicant into withdrawing, securing a spot for himself and Anu. The newly married couple then moves to Dubai.
