**Plot Summary:**
Dr. James Marcus, the founder of the Umbrella Corporation, had a daughter named Alicia who was suffering from progeria. Desperate to save her, Marcus used the T-Virus, taken from Dr. Charles Ashford, on Alicia and others with the same condition. However, the experiment went wrong when one child died and reanimated as a violent zombie. Marcus attempted to shut down the program but was betrayed and killed by his partner, Dr. Alexander Isaacs, who then took control of the corporation and adopted Alicia.
Following the events in Washington D.C., Alice awakens after being betrayed by Wesker. The Red Queen informs her that she has 48 hours to infiltrate the Hive, located over 400 miles west in Raccoon City. The Umbrella Corporation has developed an airborne anti-virus capable of eradicating all organisms infected by the T-Virus, but they are waiting for the remaining humans to be wiped out.
On her way to Raccoon City, Alice is captured by Isaacs, only to discover that the Isaacs she previously killed was a clone. She escapes and reaches Raccoon City, where she encounters a group of survivors, including Claire Redfield, who survived the attack on Arcadia. As Isaacs’ convoy approaches, backed by a horde of zombies, Alice and the group manage to defeat the convoy, rescue the captives, and burn the horde, though one of their own, Cobalt, is killed.
Alice and the survivors enter the Hive through the crater left by a nuclear bomb previously dropped on the city. Inside, Wesker releases mutated guard dogs, leading to the deaths of Christian and a freed captive. The Red Queen explains to Alice that her programming is conflicted, as she cannot harm Umbrella employees but is also bound to protect human life. She reveals a video of Isaacs outlining a plan to release the T-Virus, eliminate humanity, and rebuild the world with the wealthy and powerful stored in cryogenic capsules within the Hive.
