Description: Sarileru Neekevvaru (transl. “Nobody can match you”) is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, and AK Entertainments, the film features Mahesh Babu, Rashmika Mandanna, and Vijayashanti in lead roles, with Prakash Raj and Rajendra Prasad in supporting roles. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and R. Rathnavelu handled the cinematography.
Production began on May 31, 2019, in Hyderabad, with filming starting on July 5, 2019, in Kashmir and concluding by mid-November 2019. The film was released on January 11, 2020, coinciding with the Sankranti festival, and was screened on 2050 screens worldwide. Made on a budget of ₹75 crore, it became a commercial success, grossing over ₹260.9 crore globally. According to Box Office Mojo, the film earned US$37.39 million, ranking it as the 41st highest-grossing film of 2020 worldwide.
The story revolves around Ajay Krishna, a Major in the Para SF of the Indian Army, and another individual named Ajay who joins his regiment. During a shootout, the latter Ajay is severely injured. Ajay Krishna and his colleague Siva Prasad are sent by their Brigadier to inform Ajay’s family of the incident while ensuring that his sister’s wedding preparations remain undisturbed. On their way to Kurnool by train, they encounter Samskruthi, a quirky and comical girl who falls in love with Ajay Krishna. Despite her efforts to impress him, she fails to gain his attention.
In Kurnool, Ajay’s mother, Bharathi, is hiding with her family to escape MLA Yeddula Nagendra. When Nagendra’s men threaten her family, Ajay Krishna intervenes and warns them of dire consequences. Bharathi reveals to Ajay Krishna that she has lodged a case against Nagendra for the murder of her brother’s son, which was staged as a suicide. Despite Nagendra’s threats, she refuses to withdraw the case.
