**Storyline:**
Susan Cooper, a 40-year-old single CIA desk employee, supports her field agent partner, Bradley Fine, from headquarters. During a mission, Fine accidentally kills arms dealer Tihomir Boyanov, missing the chance to locate a suitcase nuke. Susan discovers that Rayna, Boyanov’s daughter, has connected with terrorist middleman Sergio De Luca. Fine infiltrates Rayna’s home but is fatally shot by her, witnessed by Susan remotely. Rayna reveals she knows the identities of the CIA’s top agents, including Rick Ford and Karen Walker. Susan, once a top trainee but now unknown, volunteers to track Rayna. Her boss, Elaine Crocker, reluctantly agrees, prompting Ford to quit in protest.
With her friend Nancy providing remote assistance, Susan heads to Paris. Ford confronts her, doubting her abilities due to her lack of field experience. Susan uncovers that De Luca’s office has been burned down but finds a photo of a man near the fire. Ford reappears, argues with Susan, and leaves. Susan later sees the same man switching Ford’s backpack with one containing a bomb. She warns Ford just in time during a Verka Serduchka concert and chases the man, accidentally killing him in the struggle. On his body, Susan finds evidence that De Luca is heading to Rome.
In Rome, Susan meets her contact Aldo. Following De Luca into a casino, she saves Rayna’s life, earning her trust. Rayna invites Susan into her inner circle and takes her to Budapest via private jet. During the flight, the steward kills Rayna’s crew, but Susan subdues him. Rayna suspects Susan is a CIA agent, but Susan convinces her she was hired by her father to protect her.
