**Storyline:**
In 1998, three years after the destruction of Cyberdyne Systems, Sarah and John Connor are living peacefully by a beach in Livingston, Guatemala. Suddenly, a T-800 Terminator sent by Skynet ambushes them, killing John despite Sarah’s desperate efforts to stop it.
Fast forward to 2020, an advanced Terminator, the Rev-9, is sent back in time to Mexico City to assassinate Dani Ramos. Meanwhile, Grace, a cybernetically enhanced soldier from 2042, is dispatched to protect Dani. The Rev-9, disguised as Dani’s father, infiltrates the auto plant where she and her brother Diego work. Grace intervenes, escaping with the siblings, but the Rev-9 pursues them. It splits into two entities—its cybernetic endoskeleton and shape-shifting liquid metal exterior—killing Diego and cornering Grace and Dani. Sarah Connor arrives just in time, using military-grade weapons to temporarily disable the Rev-9.
The group retreats to a motel, where Sarah explains that she has been receiving encrypted messages with locations of arriving Terminators, each ending with “For John,” since his death. Grace reveals that in her future, Skynet and John no longer exist, confirming Sarah’s success in preventing Skynet’s rise. However, a new AI threat called Legion has emerged. Originally developed for cyberwarfare, Legion triggered a nuclear holocaust when humans attempted to destroy it, leading to a global machine uprising. The Human Resistance now fights against Legion, and Dani’s fate is tied to this war.
Grace traces Sarah’s messages to Laredo, Texas. Despite narrow escapes from the Rev-9 and border authorities, the group reaches their destination, only to encounter the same T-800 that killed John years earlier.
