Description: The Adventures of Tintin (2011) is an exciting animated film following the story of Tintin, a young journalist, and his loyal dog Snowy. While exploring an outdoor market, Tintin buys a miniature model of a ship called the Unicorn. Soon after, two men separately try to take the model from him, but Tintin successfully keeps it. Back at his apartment, the model accidentally breaks during a chase between Snowy and a cat, revealing a hidden metal tube that rolls under the furniture. Meanwhile, detectives Thomson and Thompson are searching for a pickpocket named Aristides Silk, whom Snowy had seen earlier.

Curious about the Unicorn’s history, Tintin visits a library to research it. Upon returning home, he discovers the model has been stolen, suspecting a man named Sakharine. Tintin confronts Sakharine at Marlinspike Hall but notices his model is intact, realizing there are two Unicorn models. Back at his ransacked apartment, Snowy finds the metal tube, which contains a parchment scroll. Suddenly, an undercover FBI agent, Barnaby, arrives but is shot by assassins while trying to recover the Unicorn.

Tintin hides the scroll in his wallet, but the next morning, Silk pickpockets him. Shortly after, Tintin is kidnapped by Sakharine’s accomplices and taken aboard the SS Karaboudjan. Snowy chases after them, reunites with Tintin, and they discover Sakharine has taken control of the ship by mutinying against the captain. Tintin meets the ship’s captain, Archibald Haddock, an alcoholic who has forgotten much of his past. Together, Tintin, Haddock, and Snowy escape the ship in a lifeboat, but not before Tintin discovers their destination: Bagghar.
