Description: In Atlanta, Dave Lockwood is a married man with three kids, while his best friend Mitch Planko enjoys the single life at the peak of his romantic adventures. One night, after a few drinks at a bar, they urinate in a fountain and both wish they could live each other’s lives. The next morning, they wake up to find they’ve swapped bodies. Attempting to reverse the switch, they return to the park, only to discover the fountain has been removed for restoration. With no other choice, they agree to live as each other until the fountain is found.
At Dave’s law office, Mitch befriends Dave’s assistant Sabrina, but his unprofessional behavior and lack of legal expertise nearly ruin an important business deal. Meanwhile, Dave discovers that Mitch’s supposed film project is actually a low-budget adult film.
Dave urges Mitch to come clean to his wife Jamie, but Jamie doesn’t believe them. Mitch, on the other hand, secretly sets Dave up on a date with Sabrina, whom he secretly admires.
As time passes, Mitch starts to take Dave’s responsibilities more seriously, while Dave enjoys the freedom of Mitch’s lifestyle. During a ballet recital, Dave’s daughter Cara stands up to a bully, earning Mitch’s loud and inappropriate cheers. Later, Cara expresses her love for Mitch, leaving him feeling guilty.
Eventually, Dave and Mitch locate the restored fountain and switch back to their original bodies. The experience changes them both, giving them a newfound appreciation for their own lives and the challenges they each face.
