Description: The Karate Kid Part II (1986) is a classic film that continues the story of Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi. Shortly after the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament, John Kreese attacks Johnny for his defeat. Miyagi steps in, immobilizes Kreese, and humiliates him instead of causing serious harm. Johnny and his friends abandon Kreese and the Cobra Kai dojo. Six months later, Daniel returns from the senior prom to find his car damaged and learns that Ali has ended their relationship, choosing a UCLA football player instead. Adding to his frustration, Daniel’s mother plans to move to Fresno for a job opportunity.
Miyagi offers Daniel a place to stay and soon receives news that his father is ill, prompting him to return to his hometown of Tomi in Okinawa. Despite initial hesitation, Miyagi allows Daniel to join him. On the journey, Miyagi shares a story from his past: he once fell in love with Yukie, who was promised to his best friend Sato. To avoid a deadly conflict, Miyagi fled to the United States. In Okinawa, they encounter Sato’s nephew, Chozen Toguchi, who deceives them into meeting Sato. When Miyagi refuses to fight, Sato warns him and lets them go.
In Tomi Village, Miyagi and Daniel are warmly welcomed by Yukie and her niece Kumiko. They learn that Sato has become a wealthy industrialist whose actions have harmed the local fishing industry. Yukie reveals she never married Sato due to her love for Miyagi. After Miyagi’s father passes away, Sato grants him three days to mourn before their inevitable confrontation. Meanwhile, Miyagi teaches Daniel a unique karate technique using a handheld drum. Daniel and Kumiko grow closer, but their friendship is tested when Chozen begins harassing them. Tensions rise further when Daniel exposes fraud in Chozen’s business, leading to accusations of dishonor. Facing ongoing threats, Miyagi and Daniel decide to leave Okinawa and return to Los Angeles.
