Description: **Thunivu (2023) Movie: Plot Summary**
Radha, a notorious gangster, and his team orchestrate a heist at “Your Bank,” one of Chennai’s largest private banks, with the assistance of ACP Ramachandran. Their plan is to steal ₹500 crore on May 21, coinciding with the Governor’s party event at his residence. However, on the day of the heist, Radha and his crew discover that the bank has already been hijacked by a mysterious individual named “Michael Jackson” and his accomplice, Kanmani.
When commandos arrive to handle the situation, Jackson effortlessly defeats them. He then strikes a deal with Radha, offering to help steal ₹5000 crore in exchange for a share of the money. Reluctantly, Radha and his men agree. Upon discovering that the bank locker contains ₹1510 crore, Radha attempts to eliminate Jackson but fails.
ACP Ramachandran tries to negotiate with Jackson, but Jackson insists on dealing only with Antony, a police constable. When Ramachandran attempts to assassinate Jackson using a sniper, Jackson retaliates by detonating a bomb in a nearby car. As the media leaks the unfolding events, City Commissioner Dayalan steps in to manage the crisis.
During his inspection of the bank, Jackson uncovers explosives disguised as fire extinguishers, realizing that a third team has infiltrated the bank without his knowledge. Meanwhile, the police track a van where Kanmani is guiding Jackson, but she destroys the van and escapes. Ramachandran sends his men to capture Kanmani, but she kills them and exposes Ramachandran’s involvement in the heist to Dayalan. Under interrogation, Ramachandran confesses that he and Shyam, the Tamil Nadu Branch Head of Your Bank, planned the heist. He had initially hired Jackson, also known as “Dark Devil,” for the job, but Jackson refused.
This gripping crime thriller unfolds with high-stakes action, unexpected twists, and a web of betrayal.
