Description: In 2055, Earth is devastated by wars fueled by advanced military robots, while global warming and pollution have destroyed the environment, leading to widespread birth defects and deaths. To protect the remaining cities, massive domes called Skynets are constructed. During the building of the Skynet over B-16, a futuristic version of Hong Kong, a meteor crashes into the city, releasing an alien plant named Pandora. The plant rapidly grows, especially during rainfall, causing destruction but also purifying the polluted air. Dr. Chan, the lead scientist of the ASU, a local military force, devises a method to alter Pandora’s genome to halt its growth while allowing it to continue cleaning the atmosphere.
Tyler and his friend Johnson Cheng, ASU soldiers, are assigned to locate Pandora’s pistil and deliver a “gene bullet” virus to neutralize its growth. Colonel Tam oversees the mission but plans to bomb Pandora as a last resort, which would destroy the plant but risk killing 160,000 nearby civilians. Cheng opposes this plan, advocating for a mission to save lives and preserve the atmosphere. The operation begins just before two rainstorms hit the city.
Privates Connor and Lincoln join Tyler on the mission to escort the Orca transport aircraft carrying the gene bullets. However, Sean Li, the commander of B-16 and the architect of the Skynet project, sabotages the Orca by taking control of its military robots during the first storm. The aircraft crashes into a building, complicating the mission further.
